Hi there,
I am just wondering if it is possible to use a 3Dconnexion spacemouse on a computer without the need of installing a driver?
I am using a public computer to use solidworks and I do not have install privileges.
Regards,
Conor

Re: 3DConnexion Mouse WITHOUT DRIVER
Hello ConorMD -
For SolidWorks using any of the 3Dconnexion devices requires having 3Dconnexion software installed [the device driver and the 3DxSolidWorks add-in].
SolidWorks does not have support for 3D devices inside their software. Without 3Dconnexion software installed SolidWorks does not have a way to communicate with a 3D device or even to detect that it is present.
The 3Dconnexion software may need an administrator to install it depending on the permissions that were used for the SolidWorks installation. If it is a public PC like at a school where they may have a few 3Dconnexion device users, you may be able to request their administrator add the 3Dconnexion software.
