Thanks for clarifying

Hope there'll be a solution with microsoft soon.... we can dream... :D

Today as never before, it's very interesting to use spacemouse with rdp.

Hello!

As others have asked in this thread, I'm looking to get my Spacemouse Pilot working with Solidworks over RDP. I can get everything working except the esc, control, etc keys.

Jwick, I see that you have a base XML file that I should be able to insert in the program files for it to work correctly. Could you post the base file or send me privately in a message?

Tried to send you a PM but as I just created my account it looks like I'm not able to...

Thanks a ton for the help!

You might be able to make use of the cad mouse by creating keybaord macros on the client laptop/pc
And creating macros/mapkeys with the same keys on the host pc.

Anyone got this working trough two RDP sessions?
Remote client with USB device -> Corporate server -> Workstation with 3Dconnexion driver

In the first session I got the redirection icon on the RDP bar and i can redirect the device, but not on the second RDP session.

I think all three systems have the same settings now.
I cant verify on the corporate server, but as the icon shows up in the first session I think it's configurerend correctly.

In addition, I can confirm that the remote client can redirect the USB device to the workstation when using a single session instead of two in series.

Hello,

I was wondering if the proposed modification of the base.xml might be a solution to get Shift, Control, Alt, Tab-keys of a SpaceMouse working via an HP RGS (zCentral) connection. Or if the addition of the "Driver_*" keyword only applies for RDP connections to the sender.

A connected SpaceMouse is detected on my recently upgraded remote environment (HP zCentral 20.2.0.8624 and 3DxWare 10.7.3), but the mentioned keys still don't work. Although, hitting the shift button 5 times opens the Win Sticky Keys dialog - so the button-press information is transfered to the sender, but somehow missinterpreted.

Changing the base.xml by adding the "Driver_*" Keywords so far doesn't fix the problem.

Thanks or any help.

Surcouf,

PM your file to me, so I can see what changes you made.

Not sure what files you have but have a look at the attached global.xml that I use to get the spacemouse keys working via RDC.

Using notepad++ helps to view in xml format.
Not used the base.xml method but it may give you an idea of how to get it working.

Section 1 setups the keys
Next 4 sections are related to geting then working for the 4 modes I use in NX.
You'll get similar chunks of code for whichever cad system you use.
Trick is to ensure the Name & ID are correct.

Had no joy with the cad mouse as RDC doesn't allow it to pass through to the 3d connexion drivers at the other end.

Ant.

antonynealrobinson,

In the next major driver release, I've implemented a mechanism for global that allows you to specify those button assignments without having to define all those ButtonBanks. ETA TBD.
