Since yesterday morning, for no apparent reason (no updates / installs etc.) my mouse has started double clicking.
For instance when I select something it will instantly unselect it again. Yet it doesn't happen everytime, maybe 5-8 times out of 10.
I have searched for this in Google to no avail, I have also unplugged the USB lead, uninstalled both mouse drivers in Device manager, restarted and reinstalled again. Yet the symptoms remain.
I have begun to use a small app to counter the effect but it's just a sticking plaster and I need to find the cause or at least a solution.
Please can anyone help?

Re: Double click issue
Good day
Has this issue been resolved as I have exactly the same issue after an update?
It is not a consistent issue as sometimes I can click once and other times it keeps double clicking.

Re: Double click issue
Hello EtienneC,
yes, the issue has been resolved. Our CadMouse devices produced after 2016 do not have this problem. Please contact our Technical Support Team; they will assist with the replacement process.

Re: Double click issue
Dear All,
I have the same issue. I just installed the latest Update and restarted and I have the same issue still.
Can someone tell me what is going on and how to resolve this?
Is this a hardward or Software issue?
Please Help.
Greg

Re: Double click issue
Do you mean your CadMouse's left button has double-click issue? Well, CadMouse comes with very low electrical life Omron D2FC-F-7N micro-switches. You can buy Cherry DG4 T85 0.74N micro-switches to replace all three of them, or you can buy Omron D2F-F-3-7 to replace them.

Re: Double click issue
A reminder to 3Dconnexion product manager if you can forward my concern, the default OMRON D2FC-F-K(50M) micro-switches used by CadMouse Pro Wireless is also a low electrical life micro-switch, it uses three silver alloy contact OMRON D2FC-F-K(50M) micro-switches that are made in China. The advertisement text '50 million clicks-worth of durability for the daily use CAD specialist' will be another RMA disaster as happened before to CadMouse(with 3 made in China OMRON D2FC-F-7N micro-switches, and other low electrical life TTC micro-switches) for your company, the 50 million clicks is actually mechanical life of the micro-switch, this number is useless. The silver alloy contact used in OMRON D2FC-F-K(50M) is not processed to withstand oxidation with electricity on, so the double-click issue will happen randomly if the CadMouse Pro Wireless is heavily used by a CAD professional for more than 6 months-8 months, and after 12 months or so, the double-clicks will be felt nearly daily, eventually RMA is due, it will be a high cost after-sales issue. According to my own experience, OMRON D2FC-F-K(50M) has roughly 1.0 million - 2 million clicks electrical life to be used on a mouse.UtaSH wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 12:27 amHi greglacle,

My suggestion is to use gold-plated/gold alloy/antioxidation-enforced silver alloy contact micro-switches for your CadMouse product-line, like the Cherry DG4 T85 0.74N micro-switch, or OMRON D2F-F-3-7 micro-switch, all made in Japan. If you use better micro-switches, the 3-year warranty will has less RMA cost to cover.
