Windows 10 Update Broke SpaceMouse Enterprise

Post by kenglaze »

After allowing my windows 10 to update last night on 8/19/2020 my SpaceMouse Enterprise and SpacePilot Pro? both no longer work. I uninstalled 3DxWare 10.5.x? and installed the latest driver 10.6.9, rebooted the computer, and neither still work. The Enterprise shows up in my device manager as having an issue with the driver and is identified as "USB Composite Device", the SpacePilot Pro shows up as "USB Input Device" also with the caution symbol indicating an issue. My OS is Windows 10 Pro v2004 build 19041.450, not sure what other info would help.
Anybody else having this issue?
Any suggestions on how to fix?

Thanks,
Ken

Hi kenglaze,

I am sorry that you encounter problems with your 3Dconnexion devices.

Can you try the following:
  • Uninstall all 3Dconnexion driver software.
  • Unplug the 3Dconnexion devices.
  • Reboot your machine.
  • Open the device manager.
  • Plug in the first device and watch the device manager. Do you still have errors?
If you still have problems,
  • Right-click the entry of the device in the device manager and select "Uninstall device".
  • Unplug the device.
  • Reboot.
  • Open the device manager.
  • Plug in the 3Dconnexion device and see if it works now.
Please let me know what you find out.
