Setting Up SpaceMouse Enterprise & Inventor 2021

Post by Rushy2112 »

Hi All
I have recently installed Inventor 2021.
This morning I Installed the latest driver for my SpaceMouse Enterprise and I cannot program the buttons.
When I am in the Buttons screen the driver will only allow me to allocate a program to a button and not a command within that program.
I have reinstalled the drive but no difference.
When I press the menu button on my SpaceMouse the first screen says Inventor 2021.
If I select the Buttons menu the banner reads 3DxSmartUi.AMxAssembltEnvironment and not Inventor Assembly.
Can anyone shed any light on this please?
Thanks
Ade

Hi Ade,

please check this FAQ to verify if you are running Inventor and the driver with the same user level.

If this doesn't help verify if the addin 3DxInventor is installed. In Inventor go to Environments -> Add-Ins -> Applications and check if you see an entry for 3DxInventor. Make sure the load behavior is set to "Automatic/Loaded".

All sorted now, something obviously went wrong during the initial installation. I uninstalled, then re-installed and now everything works as it should.
Thanks
