Google Earth vs SpaceMouse

Post by pampel »

Hello,

I have Google Earth 7.3.3.7786 (64-bit) and got a new 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse compact. In SolidWorks the SpaceMouse works perfectly well. When I open GE the blue planet gently appears and stops. But from the moment I tough the weel of the SpaceMouse the earth beginns to rotate very fast and without any end and is impossible to control the earth with the SpaceMouse.

I read that I have to calibrate the SpaceMouse but that doesn't help.

What else can I do to join GA and the SpaceMouse?

Thanks for any kinid of help,

Stefan

When in Google Earth application window, call out the 3DxWare driver 3Dconnexion Properties window, slide the speed slider to left a bit to slow the torque.
See the below screenshots for yourself.

This isn't something solved by lowering the velocity. It appears to be an issue with Google's implementation. When I moved my SpaceMouse Compact from a USB hub to one connected directly to my motherboard, the problem went away. That said, the web version still has issues with the SpaceMouse.
