Windows 7 issues

Post by KeNickety »

Hi All,

I've got a Cadmouse and a Spacemouse wireless and I was having issues with the Cadmouse not being recognised by the 3dConnexion software on windows 7, which meant I couldn't assign buttons or use the command menu or even track battery life.

This was with both version 10.6.3 and 10.6.4 which are the latest releases for win7. If you try to install version 10.7 or above, it will throw an error and not install.

I ended up using 7-zip to extract the contents of the 10.7.2 installer, and then used those files to do my own installation of 10.7.2 on this windows 7 machine. This has fixed the issues, and as a bonus, it all appears much more responsive when the machine is under heavy load.

Windows 7 End of Life date is January 14, 2020. Not economically reasonable to continue to test the driver compatibility with Windows 7 OS.

I have exactly the same problem. Please explain to me how you performed the installation after unzipping the installation file. I would be very grateful to you
