Radial Menus not saving

Post by martinfdc »

Hi, don't know if this is a bug or if it's intended to work this way.

Here I explain my issue:

1. Open CAD Mouse Pro Wireless properties
2. Create a Radial Menu and place some Radial Menu Configurations
3. Close the properties and continue working
4. Go back to properties and change to another Default Radial Menu
5. Close properties
6. Open properties again and try to call the Radial Menu I created in step 2 but it's not available anymore.

Are Radial Menus supposed to save? I guess they should work just the same as Macros... one creates them and they are stored in the properties for later use.

Is anybody else having this issue?

I'm running Windows 10 Pro 20H2

It saves the radial menus in an application-specific file (in your %appdata%\3dconnexion\3dxware\cfg directory).
If you create a radial menu in one app, it won't be available in a different app. ATM, the GUI can't make global Radial Menus.

If you are creating it and trying to go back to it all in the same app (and it isn't there), that sound like a bug.

It's also common to save changes for the wrong app.

E.g.,
1) run your app
2) switch to explorer on the way to the 3Dx GUI
3) create and save a radial menu (it will be saved for explorer)
4) go back to your app. It is gone.

You probably are not doing that.
