Problem with driver NET Framework

Post by FabioDeLuca3879 »

Hello
I have problems installing 3DxWare 10 software (ver. 10.7.3).
I just bought a workstation and installed Windows 10 updates.
While I install 3dxware it installs net framework 4.7.2 but it doesn't work.
I updated the net framework and it only makes me install version 5.0.7 while the previous ones I cannot install.
What can i do to update 3dxware and make it read the next version of net framework?

The 3DxWare installer does not normally need to install the .NET Framework on Windows 10 since the required framework version (4.7.2 or newer) is included in the system since Windows 10 version 1803, released April 2018.

Since you bought a new computer, it will have a newer version of Windows 10 and, as mentioned, installation of .NET Framework 4.7.2 isn't needed. Something else is at play here.

Are you perhaps running the 3DxWare installer in compatibility mode?

When i use the compatibility mode I can choise only windows 8 or 7. The problem is that i can't exclude the net framework and with the other 3 pc is ok but in that i have previous installation of windows 10. could it be a problem due to the fact that the latest windows updates are from June (therefore net framework 5.0 .___) and not being able to communicate with 3dxware?

Probably not since .NET 5.0 and NET Framework 4.7.2 can be installed side-by-side.

Again, all versions of Windows 10 from the last couple of years already include .NET Framework version 4.7.2. If the installer is asking for it, then something else has changed in the system. We can't see this problem using Windows 10 version 20H2, say.
