3D Connexion Ware does not start at Windows Startup
Greetings,
My Space mouse wired has not been recognized at Windows 10 start.
I have to manually run 3D Connection and then twice press on setting.
Alas this does make the Space mouse fully functional (case of Sketchup).
I have the latest 3D Ware installed.
I have done a clean uninstall/install.
Still the mouse does not start with Windows. There is no 3D Connexion icon on the taskbar.
Tried as well to place Start Drive shortcut to Startup Windows folder. Nothing seems work.
Any help will be deeply appreciate.
Thank you ion advance.

Download Autoruns from Sysinternals to diagnose/troubleshooting.

Re: 3D Connexion Ware does not start at Windows Startup
What works for me is I put a shortcut to 3DxService.exe (C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\3DxWinCore64\3DxService.exe) into the Windows Autostart folder (C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp) and additionally, assign it to run as Administrator in the shortcut's Properties/Compatibility.

Re: 3D Connexion Ware does not start at Windows Startup
The autostart shortcut should work fine. In fact, we used to use that.
3DxWare 10 uses a registry entry to start the driver.
luping's suggestion of using the sysinternals tool might have helped diagnose the problem on this particular machine.
If there is a fundamental problem running the driver neither way will make a difference.
Does it start if you run the driver manually, either via the Start menu or by double clicking on the exe name (PF.../3Dconnexion/3DxWare/3DxWinCore/3DxService.exe)?

There is nothing here in the folder:
C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\3DxWinCore64
The folder is empty.
Re: 3D Connexion Ware does not start at Windows Startup
Well, I have found teh file 3DxService.exe in:
C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\3DxWinCore (ot in 3DxWinCore64)
It seems wake up the Mouse after double click.

Re: 3D Connexion Ware does not start at Windows Startup
PS
After having placed the file 3DxService.exe in Start up folder and restarting I have a dll error message.
Re: 3D Connexion Ware does not start at Windows Startup
You can't run from the start up folder. The driver must be run from the 3DxWinCore directory.
The startup folder works by setting up a shortcut to applications that you want to run at startup.
It might be best uninstalling everything, undoing all these manual changes, install a clean package and address the original problem.

Indeed, my error - I replaced the file with its shortcut in the Start up folder.jwick wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 8:21 am You can't run from the start up folder. The driver must be run from the 3DxWinCore directory.

Alas it does nothing.
The only way to wake up the mouse is double click on the file or the shortcut (3DxService.exe).
I have already performed a clean install (removed all including registry items). Same issue.
Cannot find the reason.
It worked well till the moment when it stopped.
Is there any difference to place the shortcut in User start up folder or C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp one?

Thank you.jwick wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 11:33 pm Hi Gth,
Could you also collect a file for me as in these instructions?
Thanks,

Alas the process of creation of diagnostic log could not been completed (see images).
