Adobe Reader AppContainer issue

Post by bsh »

Hi,
we're having a problem with 3DConn devices not working with 3D PDFs in Adobe Reader on Windows 10.
When AReader is set NOT to run in Appcontainer, then the 3Dx stuff works.
But in this mode, when trying to open hyperlinks from Excel, pointing to PDF files, Adobe reader won't open and won't show the PDFs. Whne Adobe is running in Appcontainer, then Excel works. But then the 3Dx stuff does not... So... either or.
Any way to fix this mess?
Thanks.

Don't think so. The AppContainer sandbox blocks the communication with the driver.

None here. I wasn't aware hyperlinks were blocked in Excel when Reader isn't running in the AppContainer sandbox.

Another way to prevent the issue: install Foxit PDF Reader v11.1, when the 3D U3DBrowser plug-in is installed as well, 3D PDF can be opened and viewed.
