Keyboard Pro Print Screen button

Post by buzzer1001 »

I recently swapped from an old HP keyboard (been using for >10 years) to the 3D Connexion Keyboard Pro. I'm still getting used to it, but one thing that is a deal breaker for me is the Print Screen key behaves differently.

On my HP keyboard (and laptop keyboard that it's connected to), the Print Screen | SysRq button will bring up the capture option for Snagit; but with the 3D connexion keyboard, it brings up the Windows Snip & Sketch app capture function.

I've had a look at trying to change this is both apps, and done online searching, but nothing. So it's back in the box at the moment.

How do I change this?

That key appears to be assigned to the system "ms-screenclip:" handler.
You could reassign that.
There is a CheckBox in the GUI (Keyboard->Advanced->Use PrtScn...). See if this restores the functionality you are looking for.

You can also use Nirsoft URLProtocolView to disable the ms-screenclip protocol handler. That sorted this out for me for good :D

Thanks guys. The checkbox under Advanced is what sorted it. Cheers.
