Issues with custom build - Unreal Engine 5

Post by GreyDesigns »

Hi,

I have found that my SpaceMouse is working great with Unreal projects running from the default build, but that it doesn't know what to do with projects running from a custom source build of UE5 - is there some way I can tell the software that the custom build is also just unreal engine, and that it should use whatever it needs for that?

Currently It seems to just treat it as some unknown software, and does not work at all.

It does appear in the setup menu as "Unreal Engine" but I do not get the options that are available in the default builds settings, and they don't share any properties.

3DxWare 10.8.8.3488
3DxWinCore 17.8.8.19525

Unreal Engine 5.0.2

Thanks!

Check out here https://3dconnexion.com/us/software-developer-program/
You may have to integrate the 3DxWare SDK API into the source code-base yourself.

Thanks for the reply, but that sounds like a step too far for me really.
