eKVM switching macro

Post by Douglas »

I have a Lenovo P40w-20 monitor with built in KVM features, however my MS fingerprint integrated keyboard doesn't work with it so I've been trying to get it to switch with the mouse.

It has two options when the KB or muse is plugged into the proper USB port:
1. Hit the "shift" key on the keyboard twice within .5 seconds. This works with a plain kb but not my fancy MS one.
2. Hold the left and right mouse buttons for 3 seconds. This does work, kind of, if there is any USB traffic it requires that you do it a second time. This usually times out before I can get it to swich.

I've tried setting it to kb mode and binding a mouse button to be a "shift" key, and tried making a macro that sends the shift key twice, but neither worked. Not sure what exactly it is looking for or why one KB works and another doesn't.

Is there a way to make a macro that holds the left and right mouse buttons for 3 seconds?
