Sketchup Pro 2023

Post by peterbowenpm »

Hello
SketchUp just updated to 2023. Anyone had success with reinstalling the current 3Dconnexion driver or do I need to wait until a new driver release that specifically supports the new SketchUp version.
Thanks

How much longer will we have to wait?

The readme.txt in the 3DxSketchUp64.msi contained in 3DxWare states that:
2. REQUIREMENTS
---------------
Software minimum requirements for the use of the "3Dconnexion Extension for SketchUp" are as follows:

- Trimble SketchUp
SketchUp versions 2014 to 2022 for Apple macOS and Microsoft Windows.

- 3Dconnexion driver software
macOS: 3DxWare 10 for OS X version 10.0.11 or newer.
Windows: 3DxWare 10 for Windows v. 10.5.0 or newer.

Yet, the release notes of 3DxWare v10.8.17 tells that:

The readme.txt file is often out-of-date since 3Dconnexion, like all Trimble partners, is under a confidentiality agreement to not publicly discuss pre-release versions of SketchUp.
