Space Navigator Driver update trouble

Hi all,

I have a USB Space Navigator. It works. When I installed Solidworks 2015, the button that pops the view to "show all" stopped working. Looking around, I find that I am running driver version 6.17.6 Release 3.17.6 Firmware 4.31
Win 7 64bit
I downloaded the latest driver from 3Dconnexion.
It fails to install, giving me a message "The setup has detected that version 10.2.0 of 3Dconnexion 3DxSoftware (x64Edition) is already installed. This setup is not compatible with this version. You have to uninstall the previous version before installing this version."

So question number 1 is, how do I properly uninstall the existing version?

Hello DaveTief,

do you have an entry for 3DxSoftware in the Windows Control Panel -> Programs and Features? This should be uninstalled. I recommend to uninstall all references to 3Dconnexion there. Let me know if this works for you.
