Google Earth: Camera speed linked to ground altitude

This is really noticeable and annoying when going over mountain peaks, the speed changes greatly as you traverse steep slopes.

I know this is actually a Google Earth issue, so I guess the reason I'm posting this here is in hopes that 3Dconnexion might influence Google to give the user more control over the camera speed.
