SpaceMouse® Pro Wireless >>>Defective battery

Post by Holger »

Hello friends,
I own a SpaceMouse® Pro Wireless.
P/N: 3DX-60047 PID: D43142803 (XX) XX = incorrect digits . Bought: 2014.
Unfortunately the battery no longer works.

To my questions:
Can the service replace the battery?
What does the exchange cost.
Has anyone already unscrewed the SpaceMouse® Pro Wireless and replaced the battery themselves?
Are there pictures / instructions / video?

Thanks in advance for the support.

Greetings Holger

No.

Buy a new one.

Have you searched such keywords on Youtube/Viemo/TikTok/Facebook?

I found this data:
Rechargeable lithium polymer battery with 2000 mAh
Source: https://3dconnexion.com/uk/product/spa ... ess/#start

Of course I searched the usual sources, but unfortunately without success, that's why I wrote this post

If I would spend 360 euros again, certainly not, at least not again with wireless.

Can anyone else share their experiences with us?

Why do you say the battery doesn't work? It doesn't hold a charge for long?
Sometimes the device reports the battery is at 1% when it is actually charged. There is a firmware fix for that.

I'd call our tech support before doing anything else.

Then there is this, but I didn't point you there.

The SpaceMouse no longer holds the charge.
When plugged in, the mouse works.
As soon as I pull the plug, the green LED goes out.
So it should be clear that the battery is ready. The mouse is from 2014 so it's had a few charges and ended up with the mouse hanging on the wire all the time.

The pictures in the link are very helpful. :-)

It is now clear that the battery is free and attached with a plug, so I will dare to open the box.

Many thanks for this information and your help

Good afternoon, Gents,

Seems the battery has it's own PCB electronics. Can you advice where to buy a replacement?

Thanks

Nowhere, it's made by ODM/OEM supplier Intretech in mainland China, no spare part will be provided to end users.
