The 3DConnexion Picture Viewer is sloooooow... :S

Post by Elfen »

Compared to the standard picture viewer in Photoshop, the one that comes with the drivers seams to be slow at hell :S Takes forever to flick through 10MP pictures.

Anyone else who have noticed a serious speed difference between the windows picture viewer and the 3dx picture viewer?

I encourage anyone to try. In my case the difference was quite noticable, bordering to annoying in the 3dx one.

I really think it ruins the "fluidness" you get with using the SpaceNavigator (for example) to look through pictures... :(

Hi Elfen,

The 3Dx Picture Viewer uses more RAM, especially when opening high resolution pictures. Depending on your system configuration it could get really slow if you open big files. Perhaps you could rescale these pictures?

That would be of very little use since I work with high res photographs and textures...

How come it uses more ram?
