What is the latest version of SDK?

Post by BillAtIC »

We integrated with 3dxware-sdk_v1-0-1_win32.exe a few years ago.
Is there a more recent version of the SDK?

Hello BillAtIC,

There is a version 2 available that adds support for the SpacePilot and for x64. It is available in the archives section of our web page. The SDK page contains a COM server that is an alternative way to access the driver. Everything from the SDK v1 still works.

To get to the archive section: Support->Driver Downloads->SpaceTraveler->Archive->3DxWare SDK...

Hi Jwick,

Could you please confirm if SDK v.1 did or did not supported x64 and Unicode?
Previously we did not need to support either of these, but we do now.

Thanks.

There is very little in the actual SDK. Most of the functionality comes in the DLLs that ship with 3DxWare. All the SDK does is load the DLLs. So "supported" would be a bit misleading. The SDK provides projects so you can build the libraries for any environment. The newer 2.x SDK though do come with prebuilt x64 libraries. I suggest you download the x64 SDK.
