Auto-scrolling issues since installing Spacemouse Wireless
Hi, new to the forum, joined because I can't find solutions to the issue I'm having elsewhere
I recently bought the Spacemouse Wireless, and installed the software, got the mouse working with Fusion 360, everything is good. Since then, my computer has been auto scrolling. It doesn't happen to every menu, but majority. For instance, if I open the start menu, it would immediately start scrolling to the bottom of the page, and I wouldn't be able to scroll back up. If I opened Netflix, and hovered my mouse over a category of films, it would start scrolling all of them to the left
I went into my settings, saw that Auto-Scrolling had been turned on in my mouse settings, so I turned that off and restarted the PC. Since restarting, that setting has stayed off, however things like the start menu and Netflix are continuing to auto-scroll. The issue with the start menu has changed slightly though. Now, if I hover my mouse over the start menu, then nothing happens. If I try to scroll down with the mouse wheel, then still nothing happens. If I then click somewhere in the menu, it starts auto-scrolling. I have recorded this and uploaded the video to Youtube, please see link below:

I do not have the Spacemouse connected to my PC when this is happening. I bought the wireless version so I could take the mouse to and from work as that is where I do most of my CAD work
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know
Many Thanks

Re: Auto-scrolling issues since installing Spacemouse Wireless
Where is your SpaceMouse Wireless if it is not connected to the machine?
Is the wireless dongle attached to the machine?
Is the 3DxWare driver installed and running? (3DxService.exe in the task manager).

Both the mouse and dongle are at my place of work
The following services for the mouse that are running currently:
3DxProfileServer (there are 2 of these in task manager)
3DxVirtualLCD
3DxRadialMenus
3Dconnexion
3DxNIServer

The two 3DxProfileServer.exe instances is expected in some cases but we don't recognise the "3Dconnexion" item.
Can you please confirm the processes listed in Task Manager?

Re: Auto-scrolling issues since installing Spacemouse Wireless
I have taken a snip of task manager, please see below
I created a Dump file of the 3Dconnexion service, and the file was saved as "3DxService.DMP", so I assume that this is the service that jwick asked me to locate:

I have since ended this task and I am still having the scrolling issues
Re: Auto-scrolling issues since installing Spacemouse Wireless
Looking at the details tab for task manager and it would seem that 3Dconnexion with a white symbol is a different name for the 3DxService. Please see the 2 below images
I created a dump file of 3Dconnexion on task manager, which saved as 3DxService.DMP
I have tried ending this service, and I still have the scrolling issue. Restarted my PC, still got an issue
Feel like I should perhaps clarify this though, it does not auto-scroll for everything. Things like web pages are fine, I can scroll like normal. However, when I open task manager, it will scroll to the bottom automatically. When I click on drop down menus, they will close instantly. This next example is hard to explain, but when I am saving a file, I go to type in the desired file name into the box. If the name i am typing is similar to another file, windows does its usual thing of suggesting that file name to me, however, my pc will then constantly be scrolling down to highlight that option. If need be I will take a video of what I mean and upload it, if you guys require
I did think that perhaps it could be that I have a broken keyboard or mouse that is causing this. So I have tried keeping my start menu at the top of the list, and then turning off my normal mouse, but the menu continued to scroll down. Same with my wireless keyboard; keep menu at top, turn keyboard off while scrolling. Menu continues to scroll down

Re: Auto-scrolling issues since installing Spacemouse Wireless
Does this behavior stop when you uninstall 3DxWare?
Re: Auto-scrolling issues since installing Spacemouse Wireless
I think I have solved this issue now
Looking at Device manager, under Mouse/pointers, there are 3 entries for "HID-compliant mouse". Looking at the properties for these, one had the location of "on 3Dconnexion KMJ Emulator". The other 2 have locations of "on USB Input Device". For the 2 that have the same location, disabling the one that has the oldest dates in the Events log has solved the issue
I will continue to check/test over the next few days, and will update this thread accordingly

What is the Device instance path on those two?
Devmgr: Human Interface Devices->HID-Compliant mouse->Properties->Details->Device instance path

Re: Auto-scrolling issues since installing Spacemouse Wireless
Device Instance Path:
HID\VID_062A&PID_4C01&MI_01&COL01\8&EF61C2F&0&0000
Update on problem:
Computer has been restarted multiple times, with 3D connexion mouse both connected and not connected. No problems still. Looks like disabling this device driver fixes the problem
Many thanks to everyone that helped

That's the VendorID/ProductID for a Delux M618 Plus Wireless Vertical Mouse
Re: Auto-scrolling issues since installing Spacemouse Wireless
I just had to Google that mouse. I do not own that mouse, and I have never seen or used one before. I have no idea why the drivers for that are on my PC. All I know is that I didnt have the scrolling issue before I used my 3D Connexion Spacemouse
