3DxWare Control Panel doesn't launch without device attached

Post by jtuttle »

Hey--

I'm on Vista Ultimate 32-bit.

I'm getting a SpaceNavigator in the mail today; I installed the driver yesterday, and can't get the control panel to show up. I just tried setting it to run as administrator; that didn't help. Blender seems to be able to connect to the driver (from the console messages it prints).

I'm assuming that the control panel just doesn't launch if there's no device attached? Or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks.

Correct you have to have the device plugged in. When you launch the driver it looks for the device if it does not detect the devcie the driver does not start.

Thanks. You guys might want to have it pop up a message like "Device not found". Or better yet, have it launch the driver with an obvious, easily-noticable message saying that there's no device attached, but still let users play with the settings.

I can't wait for it to arrive :-D
