mouce lights up blue after every touch and is laggy or doesnt work at all

hello,
i've been using the wireless spacemouse in fusion 360 for about a year now without much issues, however, over the past couple months, ive been having an issue where the mouse seems to disconnect or go to sleep after not neing used for a few seconds. i push the mouce to ordit, nothing happens for a few seconds, then the blue light on the spacemouce light up as though it where just turned on and the orbit motion begins but is extreamly laggy. it often suddenly works well for a while, then suddenly stops again, this can last hours or only seconds, very inconsistent.

i just updated the drivers, yet, the problem persists.

would appreciate sonme help very much.
