Walkinside

Post by joerntp »

Hi.
Are there any plans to make a driver for Walkinside ?
Walkinside is a powerfull tool for 3D review that we use in
several projects.
We are using a lot of different 3d design tools ( Intergraph PDS / smartplant, Bentley plantspace, PDMS, Microstation, Autocad, Inventor, X-steel, solidworks etc. ).
We always convert the models into VR format (walkinside) but there is no driver for this application.

Is it difficult to use the SDK without a lot of coding experience ?

Free SDK available for all Software Developers

Dear joerntp,

Most applications do not use any special driver. They just use our standard 3DxWare driver. A few applications have added special plug-ins for specific additional functionalities they find useful in their user interfaces. You would need to contact the Walkinside developers as to their plans to include use of our devices in their user interface. We do provide a free SDK under the Support Menu on www.3dconnexion.com for application developers to make use of this driver. You are welcome to download, look at and use our SDK in developing your own applications.

Sincerely,
Bryan g.
