Post by Mike Oswald »

I have enverything installed for my spaceball, but when I start solid works it give me the error "C:\ProgramFiles\3DConnexion\3DConnexion Add-In for Solidworks\mglsw20u.dll cannot be loaded. Either the add-in or one of it's components are missing." Can anyone help?

I have talked to a couple of people on the solidworks forum and they have them working with no problems.

The current plugin will not work with Solidworks 2008.

Extended support for the Serial and Cadman drivers and plugins ended in 2006.

I had that problem. You have to do the following:

1. Install the current 3DxWare but NO SOLIDWORKS ADD-IN

2. Install the 4000FLX SolidWorks Add-In ONLY, NOT THE 3DXWARE

Took me and the IT guy at my last job a whole day to figure out. I am now using the SpacePilot, the 4000FLX is now a relic.
