Button assignment not working in Ployworks
I have been using a 3d Space Navigator for many years now. I have just started using Polyworks on a Faro arm but, can't get the buttons to take any assignments other than the defaults set at install. The only thing that seems to work is the rotation of the part but, even that is glitchy, speed will not change, center of rotation cannot be changed ( or I can't find how to change it ). A search in this forum for "Polyworks" = 0 matches. I can't be the only one using Polyworks can I? Any help will be appreciated. I love the 3d connexion products and hate doing 3d work without them.

Hello,
Which driver version are you using? its possible you might just need to install a new driver to get it to work.
I would suggest uninstalling the driver you have currently and installing 10.8.6 from our driver downloads page.
https://3dconnexion.com/us/drivers/
Make sure to restart your machine after the driver install.

Hello,
Its possible you might need to reset your configuration by deleting the XML sheet for PolyWorks.
1. Stop the driver by going to the 3Dconnexion Folder in the start menu and selecting "Stop 3DxWare.
2. Shut down PolyWorks if its running
3. Please follow the link in our FAQ here to learn how to find the configuration files: https://3dconnexion.com/us/support/faq/ ... ion-files/
4. Locate the XML sheet labeled PolyWorks and delete it.
5. After it is deleted close file explorer and restart PolyWorks and our driver and test.

Re: Button assignment not working in Ployworks
No Joy. I did find out if you hide the "coordinate system" it rotates on the part center instead of half way between the coordinate system and the part.
But still can't change speed, buttons or anything really. When I go to setting it says the buttons are assigned but, when I go to Polyworks and push a button I get the default action. At least I go the rotation figured out and that makes it usable but, it would be nice to get the rest of it working to.
Thanks for trying to help!!
