Spaceball 4000 and autocad

Hi,
I have a spaceball 4000flx that I regularly use with pro engineer, recently I have been doing some work in autocad 2007 LT but I cant get the spaceball to recognize in autocad. I downloaded and installed the autocad plug-in from the 3d connexion download page and still no luck. I was wondering if it was because I am using LT, if not does anyone know how to get it work?

Autocad LT Does not allow Addins.
You will not be able to use our device in the Application.
This was a decision of Autocad to not allow Addins hence LT.
