spacepilot configuration on personal networkshare ?

Post by GerhardM »

Hello,

i allready asked that in german part of the forum and got no responce.
so i try it here.

we think about getting 70 spacepilots for designing with CatiaV5 and Tebis.

Cause our designers often change their workstations, my question is:
is there a integrated option to place the spacepilot configuration on a personal networkshare and load that on userlogon ?
so every user would have "his" configuartion on every machine.
It doesnt make sense for us to use that tool if the users have more work to configure them, then to work with it.

thx for answers.

If you have the driver installed there is a silent install.txt file with instructions on Silent installation on a network.
C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3Dconnexion 3DxSoftware\3DxWare\silentinstall.txt

Hello GerhardM,

Changes users make for Tebis are saved in the users' %appdata%/3Dconnexion/3DxWare/profiles directory. In an Active Directory environment, this directory roams with users as they change machines.

The CATIA configurations are save in the CATSettings. These should also roam with the users.
