Hi! I hope all the registering and the other mess to get to post here was worth the effort.
I am using Autocad 2008 and 2009, Vista and a little cute SpaceNavigator.
What I find uncomfortable is that the SN obviously uses the point 0,0,0 of the WCS as base for rotating (left right).
Is there any way to make SN use the middle of the Autocad-viewport as base for rotating?
Thanks for any help.
Stephan

Hi Stephan Bartl,
The documentation of the add-in for AutoCAD explains how to change the rotation point. Have a look at the help file available in the Start menu, Programs, 3Dconnexion, 3Dconnaxion Add-In for AutoCAD.s there any way to make SN use the middle of the Autocad-viewport as base for rotating

Thanks for the answer.
As far as I can see, I can only set the rotation point manually, which is of course better than nothing.
But I would like to activate a mode in which the rotation point is automatically "updated" in order to be constantly fixed to the middle of the viewport, regardless how I change the view. Since the option to set it manually is documented - but nothing else - I guess what I want is not possible.
So there you have it folks: The work for the 3dcon-developers does not run out.
Kind regards, Stephan
