Spaceball 5000

I have a Spaceball 5000 (recognized as Spaceball 4000 FLX in Device Manager) connected to a Windows 7 64bit Machine (via COM Port). 3DxWare 2.8.2 recognizes it but there is still an exclamation mark on the device in Device Manager.. Is this intended behaviour?

Unfortunately it is no longer a supported device or even a supported OS. This means troubleshooting is very very limited/non existent. to my knowledge it is not expected behavior, but a fix is not existent since we no longer support Windows 7 or the Spaceball 5000.
