Cad Mouse Middle button tied to scroller button

Is the Scroller and the middle click button programmed to be the same?

I ask because I would like to remap it for specific aliases in AutoCAD but don't know if it is possible. Right now, they are a hotkey for the PAN alias. I would like to change the middle click button to the Object Snap menu and leave the scroller click for PAN.

In multiple applications the scroller and the middle click buttons serve the same function.
