Spaceball 5000 and Catia V5

I am having difficulty retianing the button settings on my spaceball. Every time I log on to my computer I have to re-assign each button. The spaceball itself can still pan and zoom, and the toolbars in V5 stay where I place them, but my spaceball buttons are not behaving.

Any advice on how to remedy this matter?

Hi Matthew,

How are you configuring the SpaceBall buttons?

Note that, in CATIA V5, there is an application panel that is available specifically for this task. Check the "Button Customize" panel (accessible from the "Customize" dialogue or the "3DxDevice" toolbar). This feature is available in V5 R15 and above.

I had been using the 3D Connexion icon on the desktop but after following your suggestion to use the toolbar in Catia the settings have remained.
