CAD mouse bricked by firmware update
My CADmouse has been bricked by a firmware update - it doesnt work as a mouse although the receiver sees it, as do the PC software tools. To be clear it doesn't work wirelessly or on the cable. I am in comms with support but wondered if this has happened to anyone else?

Yes I am locked out of using my mouse after firmware update same as you windows recognizes it but does not work. Blue tooth wired or dongle.

Re: CAD mouse bricked by firmware update
Hi thank you all for posts.
I have some questions about your problem:
1. During FW update your mouse was connected directly to PC or through some hub?
2. Did you use 3Dconnexion cable or some different during the FW update?
3. Do you remember what was your FW version on the mouse before performing the update?

I had the same issue.
1. It was connected to a docking station. My laptop only has USB-C ports and I don't have a cable from USB-C to micro-USB.
2. Something different, but any micro-USB cable should do (it was the one that came with my Jabra headset actually).
3. no, but I never updated it before, so it was the one it was supplied with six years ago.
Is there a way/script/program to push the firmware again? I could try from another PC which has USB-A ports, I still have an original cable from 3Sconnexion (as if that would make a difference)

Re: CAD mouse bricked by firmware update
Tech support helped me fix mine. This is what they sent, and what worked for me:
1.Download the 3Dconnexion firmware update tool from the following link:
https://download.3dconnexion.com/driver ... r20475.exe
2. Connect your CadMouse Wireless to your computer using the USB cable.
3. After installation, start the tool (Windows Start > Search for 3Dconnexion Firmware Update).
4. Is your CadMouse Wireless displayed in the tool?
5. Can you please send a screenshot like below?
