SpaceMouse Chrome OS Chromebook Chromebox support?!

Today I found out that SpaceMouse is natively supported by Chromium OS on my Chromebox3 from Asus. This is great for earth.google.com and works perfectly. Does anyone have an idea whether you can activate the blue light and / or the buttons can be supported?

I recently discovered that the support for SpaceMouse on the Chrome OS is no longer working with the new web version of Google Earth. Since the update to Google Earth version 10.55.0.1, it seems that the SpaceMouse functionality has been affected.

Has anyone else encountered this issue and found a workaround or solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
