Hi all. I'm trying to use a SpaceMouse Pro wireless with Bambu Studio (a 3d printer slicer - https://github.com/bambulab/BambuStudio, https://bambulab.com/en/download/studio). Some things work well, others not so much. Tilting the puck works in all directions although a little slowly even with all speed scales ramped up to full in the settings GUI. Zooming in and out works, again just a tad slowly. What I need to fix is panning up and down and left and right - they work but really massively slowly, too slow to use. Any way of fixing this?
Also there are quick keys in Bambu Studio to go to fixed views: ctrl+1 is top view, ctrl+3 is front view etc. These shortcuts work when I press them on my keyboard but don't work when programmed into SpaceMouse buttons. I've installed an on screen display utility that shows what keys are being pressed and it confirms that the correct keys are being sent but nothing happens. Any ideas on how to further debug and fix this? I've made a screen capture recording - the first ctrl+1 press is from the SpaceMouse and nothing happens. The second is from my keyboard and it works.

Thanks for any help.

Aha! I've found a solution to the keyboard shortcuts. Instead of sending ctrl+1 in one go I've created a macro that does: ctrl lock, 1, ctrl lock. And that seems to work. Yay.

If the default configuration options in the driver don’t provide the desired speed, you might consider creating a custom profile specifically for Bambu Studio. This can sometimes help in fine-tuning the device’s response.

I've ramped up both the general speed setting and the individual axis speed settings to maximum and it doesn't seem to help with the very slow panning.bbolttjammes wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 11:51 pm Hi,
I think you should facing this problem after long time .For the slow panning issue try adjusting the Space Mouse sensitivity settings or create a custom profile for Bambu Studio. For the shortcut keys ensure drivers are updated or use a tool like Auto Hotkey to create more responsive macros.
Thanks

I thought all applications got their own profile by default. An XML file was automatically created called something like JMB_bambu_studio.xml in the configs folder. Do you mean something different to that?Bettylores wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 3:02 am If the default configuration options in the driver don’t provide the desired speed, you might consider creating a custom profile specifically for Bambu Studio. Spotted on Facebook - the solution to the very slow panning speeds. Instead of adjusting them in the 3DConnexion software, press Ctrl-M in Bambu Studio and crank up the translation speed there. It works. Yay.

Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity settings for panning in Bambu Studio? It might help to increase the speed or responsiveness of the panning motion fnaf world As for the quick keys issue, it could be a compatibility issue with the SpaceMouse buttons. You may want to reach out to the SpaceMouse support team for further assistance in debugging and resolving this issue.

I think that's what pressing Ctrl-M in Bambu Studio lets you do - increase the panning speed.EthanFinn wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 12:12 am Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity settings for panning in Bambu Studio?
