Remote desktop remote FX, Win 11

Post by ponka »

Hello

I have a spacemouse. When I work at home I use remote desktop.
I previously had win 10 on my home computer but now upgraded to win 11. Work cumputer has win 10 enterprise.
The problem is that now I can't use my spacemouse, it was fine before on win 10.

I have followed the below guide and made settings in Group policy. Did it before on win 10 and it worked fine.
But now in win 11 the correct settings in remote desktop do not appear. When i go to:
Edit remote desktop → Local resources → More → Other supported RemoteFX USB Device don't appear.

How can I fix this?

Use VirtualHere to connect the SpaceMouse via usb port forward, free for one device or one usb port forward:

Make sure that both computers have 3DxWare installed.

Hi

Both have 3DxWare.

I work at a large company and the software needs to be "safe" to be allowed to be installed. So best would be that it's a Microsoft software or a well known company. Do you know any? And I don't think I can install https://virtualhere.com/ if it needs to be installed at my company computer.

Do you have another SSD(Solid State Drive) in your home computer that can install Windows 10 OS? Install the Windows 10 OS on a second SSD. Otherwise, do a clean install of Windows 10 OS in your current hard drive, your home computer's OS activation information is stored at Microsoft's data centre, once Windows 10 is reinstalled and connected to Internet, the activation should be automatic.
