Any idea?

Post by Gropen »

normally you use alt+mouse to rotate the point of view of the camera. doing this, the point of view rotates around the point where the cursor is. that way its very easy to rotate around one point/object in the scene.

using the spacemouse it seems that the center point of rotation always is the center of the view port. is it possible to change that? having a hard time doing a clean rotation around an object i.e.

In applications like Blender, you can set the pivot mode (e.g., "3D Cursor" or "Active Object") to adjust the rotation point.

Go to Edit > Preferences > Navigation and enable Orbit Around Selection. This setting makes the rotation pivot around the selected object rather than the center of the viewport.
Go to Customize > Preferences > Navigation, then select Rotate Around Selection. This will cause the viewport rotation to pivot around the selected object.
