When will SpaceMouse Enterprise be discontinued?

I'm interested in, but hesitant to take advantage of the upcoming sale and get SpaceMouse Enterprise. But having been nailed by 3dconnexion discontinuing software updates for older devices on at least two previously owned devices (still using Pro but without full functionality), I'm looking at how old Enterprise is (8 years?!) and don't want to get screwed again. I'm sure I won't get a straight answer from the company, and wondering if anyone on the forum might have an informed opinion? thanx --ds

Try the SpaceMouse Pro Wireless Bluetooth Edition, it's much easier to carry around.

Although we cannot comment on future device type discontinuations, 3Dconnexion does communicate the support status of older devices in this FAQ article.

The SpacePilot Pro is in limited support (not all features are expected to work) until late next year. 3Dconnexion has not marketed the SpacePilot Pro since 2016, over eight years ago.

If you look at the date, you can see 3Dconnexion fully supported the SpacePilot Pro for three years after the last day this model was sold by 3Dconnexion.

Thank-you for an "official" response. My fear of course is that I'll buy the Enterprise (which itself was first released, I think, about 8 years ago making it very old in hardware life) during your sale and then it'll be discontinued this year giving me only 3 more years. But I understand that you can't say anything. Perhaps the better question is when will a new model be released? Although I imagine no one can answer that either
