New Outlook and MS Teams recognized as the same app

Post by FarFlyer »

Hello all,
Our company is updating MS apps. We are moving to "New Outlook" and "New Teams", which are a web view of the applications.
The 3D Connexion SW shows "msedgewebview2" as the application name for both and all the application-specific shortcuts are not available.

I guess that it's still something ongoing on the MS side, but we might miss a lot of customizations for two SWs which I guess are used by many users all day long.

Do you have any clues on this topic?

Hello again. After almost a year, the situation is still the same. So, I guess that nothing will change on MS's side.

In the 3dconnection option, I see that the icon changes between the two apps.

Will it be possible to differentiate between the two somehow?

Have any updates? I have seen the presence of these 2 apps but there doesn't seem to be much difference to distinguish.
