HI,
I use a Spacemouse Pro primarily on windows running under Parallels.
What I want to do is use the spacemouse on both Mac and in my cad app running on windows.
I understand I need the Beta driver to run under Big Sur, not a problem.
This is my question. If I instal this driver is it possible to switch from my cad app in Parallels into MacOS and have it work in both?
What I really don't want to happen is install the Beta driver and have it take over so the spacemouse doesn't work in Parallels any more ...
Any advice/help gladly appreciated.
Kim

Re: Switch between MacOS and windows under parallels
Hello Talk2Kim,
For the mouse to keep working in Parallels, the driver can not exist on the Mac Side. if it does, the driver on the Mac will completely take over and you will be unable to us it on the Windows side.

I also use Windoz 11 running Inventor 2025. I'd like to use my Spacemouse wireless, but I also run Autodesk Fusion 360 on the Mac side. Fusion on Mac is outstanding! I wish Inventor ran with full fidelity i.e. native drivers for graphics... I know the difficulties. I'd settle for a drive shared some how so I can have Fusion running on Mac, and Inventor running in Windoz.11 I do appreciate the ability to run windows at all. On my Old Mac book, having Intel was nice in many ways.. To bad I had to move to w11, I was glad to have it all working in 10 .. and on the macbook pro i7 2017 timeframe. Pleases enhance my productivity by creating a driver that will let me use both enviroments. Thanks. Oh btw, I also use Solidworks 25, on Windows 11 Not my favorite, but some customers just use it... I have to work in their world. Thanis

If you're using parallels, it's possible to switch between Win11/Mac, just turn on/off the device in the parallels environment when you switch.
Devices >> USB & Bluetooth >> then select your device....
Solidworks also works with the older driver on Parallels/Win11:
