Space Pilot Pro on Windows 11

Post by CAD Ninja »

Hello guys,

Glad to be here with you, I've joined this board because I'm interested in buying a 3DConnexion Space Pilot Pro from an second hand store, the problem is that I don't know if the mouse works on Windows 11 Pro, the OS I'm currently running on my PC. Please, if you will, tell me if the mouse is compatible and works fine on the mentioned OS.

Thanx and wish you all a nice day.

If you want to use a 3Dconnexion device, let it be the new SpaceMouse series, the SpacePilot Pro is outdated and driver support is over.

Yes, the SpacePilot Pro is compatible with Windows 11 OS. This device currently is in extended support with the latest 3DxWare driver software on WIndows OS.

I have an OLDE SpacePilot Pro and it still works PERFECTLY, and I've had it and used it since 2009 ish.
I suppose my concerns are, as it still works perfectly, what will happen when the extended support is over?
Will you kill it?
Will I have to buy another, even though this still works perfectly?

You might be interested in my fix for Spacepilot Pro for Windows. It re-enables the text labels for the function keys screen as they dissappear if I used a driver newer than 10.7.4 which didnt work with the Cadmouse Compact.

Ive only tested it on Windows 10 so would be interested to know if it works for 11. It should work on latest drivers and all functionality should be good.
