Error message on startup after silent installation

Post by astandke »

Hello to all,

I need to do a silent installation of 3DxSoftware v. 3.6.8 in Windows XP Prof. on 32bit as well as 64bit clients. I created the installation script as described in this forum:

msiexec /I c:\temp\inst\368\components\3DxWare\3DxWare.msi /qn
... and for the needed Add-Ins
msiexec /I c:\temp\inst\368\components\3DxSolidWorks\3DxSolidWorks.msi /qn

The installation seems to work well, since no error message shows up and the device would work fine in our CAD-Software (right after the installation without reboot of the workstation). But after rebooting the workstation and with every startup the following error message appears (on 32bit as well as 64 bit Windows XP Prof.):

"Error1 getting device image filename"

It is possible to confirm the message with "OK", it disappears and the device still works fine in our CAD Software. But of course, this message on every startup is pretty annoying.

Does anybody know how to fix this error?
