Spaceball 3003 running on Linux?

Post by cguckels »

Hi,
I actually try to run a spacetec spaceball 3003 under my debian lenny system. (2.6.24-amd64). Therefore, I used the actual drivers for spaceball 4000 (serial) and installed them. With every startup, my spaceball now also "beeps" and then the configuration tab shows up, but it doesn't work in the cube demo which was delivered with the driver. Generally, I don't feel if it's working at all. Later I want to try it with blender.

Probably someone could give me some advice on this. Thank you very much.

With many regards,
Christian

Hi Christian,

the Spaceball 3003 is a very old product and is not supported since a long time. The current driver will not work with this product. You need to upgrade to a newer 3D mouse.
