Post by tdarcy »

something I find annoying in max 9 if i freeze a camera i.e. I don't want it moved lets say its set up for a photo montage, i then touch the space navigator the camera will move AHHHHH i don't want it to move if the camera is frozen.

Oh and another thing the brush size adjustment will not work with cs3 for me.....using the latest drivers

Hi tdarcy,

Regarding your CS3-issue:
Which language do you use for your operating system and for CS3? Has one of them changed?
Please try the default-config (without the username in the configuration name inside the control panel) - does the brush-size adjustment work then?

Hi tdarcy,

Could you please send me an step-by-step procedure to reproduce your issue? Does this also happen when you move your view without our device?

Hi!
As I understand, tdarcy is talking about the same issue that I am interested in.

What happens is that, when working in 3DSMAX, some times you want a camera to stay fixed or locked in position and still use it as an active view, to, lets say, move and object.

If, by any chance you touch your 3D device (Ie:SpaceNavigator) the camera will move, even if you freeze the camera, or change your SapceNavigator settings to move the Scene

So, the question is:
Is there a way to "lock" a certain camera so it won´t react to the SpaceNavigator and still use the camera as an active view?

Maybe with an "include/exclude" camera in the main script?

The only way I know is to tick "Suspend Motion" in 3Dx Control.
