Encourage Trumpf to include Use of Our Devices

Post by Bryan »

Dear kdogg,

Trumpf's developers, themselves would be the individuals who write the source code for their Suite. So I am not quite sure what you are are asking. If you are asking if they have included use of our devices in their applications as yet, I would defer to your observation that they have not.

The driver for our input devices is included in our 3DxSoftware Suite. Most programs make use of this in their applications. A few applications do also make use of a special plug-in, due to a number of different reasons, mostly to make commands available in their application to button mappings.

We provide a free SDK, Software Development Kit, for developers to make it as easy as possible to include use of our input devices in their user interfaces. We welcome and encourage application developers to take advantage of the input from our devices to enhance their user interfaces.

If you know of, or can imagine ways to use our input devices that would be beneficial in the application, we encourage you to let that application's developers or their marketing department know of this added value. Encourage them to make the changes in their next development cycle that you would find valuable.

We make a listing of the applications we know of that are currently making use of our input devices under the 'Solutions' Menu as 'All Supported Applications'. Perhaps it would be better named, 'All Supporting Applications'.

Currently it appears that Trumpf,s development is not supporting our input devices as yet. Let them know your ideas of how you would want to use our input device in their application. Let them know how valuable you would find this use. Encourage them to include these ideas in the interface of their next development cycle.

Sincerely,
Bryan
The more things change, the more they remain the same. ; ^ )
