Spaceball 4000FLX and EXCEED

I have a problem with a 4000FLX 3DCONNEXION spaceball. I run CATIA V5 on my PC and I want to be able to use the spaceball when I running on the PC.

The problem occurs when I start EXCEED and connect to our LINUX workstation. After a short time an error message is displayed that the EXCEED X Connection has been lost. Right after the error appears the EXCEED window shuts down.

I don't use the spaceball when I'm on the LINUX workstation but EXCEED crashes because the spaceball software is installed. How can this problem be fixed.

Disable the X Input Extension in Exceed and it won't try to open the Spaceball. Exceed has problems.

Exceed developer here: Please ask our TechSupport http://connectivity.opentext.com/custom ... pport.aspx for the latest Exceed.exe + hclxisv.dll patch. I fixed a SpaceBall crash last week.
(Exceed 2008 (v13) and v14). Otherwise file a support issue and I'll fix it.
