Worked fine yesterday, but not today, Inventor 2011

Post by Valen Wagner »

All of a sudden the SpaceExplorer USB is not working properly in Inventor 2011. It acts as if the sensitivity is turned waaaay down. If I press as hard as possible on the knob, I can see the view move just a little little bit. Even if I turn up all the senstivity controls in the Control Panel, it still does not work.

I thought maybe it was an issue with some recent Windows updates that were installed overnight. So I uninstalled them and found that Inventor still did not work. I also tried going back to the 3.10.1 and 3.11.1 drivers but they had the same problem.

I can still run Autocad and 3ds Max without any problems. This seems to be specific to Inventor.

Is anyone else having this problem? I have not made any changes on this computer. It worked fine yesterday, but not today.

I seem to have solved the problem. I deleted all the profiles from the

"C:\Users\valen\AppData\Roaming\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\profiles"

folder and then restarted Inventor. It works fine now. I did leave Inventor open overnight so maybe one of the profiles got corrupted during the forced 'Windows Update' restart.

Weird.
