Error Driver Install

Post by eric_loop »

Hello,
I already used this Spacepilot (not pro) on HP 8530w
Now, with my HP Z600 (windows xp 64 SP2), it can not be installed : after the extraction and after the language choice, I got this message :

Code d'erreur : -5009 : 0x8002802b
Information d'erreur :
>Ctor\ObjectWrapper.cpp (163)
>Ctor\ObjectWrapper.cpp (384)
>Kernel\Component.cpp (1161)
>Kernel\CABFile.cpp (384)
>SetupDLL\SetupDLL.cpp (1655)
PAPP:3Dconnexion 3DxSoftware
PVENDOR:3Dconnexion (http://www.3Dconnexion.com/)
PGUID:BAFCA6AC-8B37-405B-B57E-C1D45DE70ACC
$9.1.0.429
@Windows Service Pack 2 (3790) IE 6.0.3790.1830

I checked also with Symantec disabled, language french or english, I have administrator rights, so I don't know what to do now.
any idea?
thanks
Eric.

note that I use the correct x64 driver.

I have the same problem on HP 6930p windows 32

message is very similar :

Code d'erreur : -5009 : 0x8002802b
Information d'erreur :
>Ctor\ObjectWrapper.cpp (163)
>Ctor\ObjectWrapper.cpp (384)
>Kernel\Component.cpp (1161)
>Kernel\CABFile.cpp (384)
>SetupDLL\SetupDLL.cpp (1655)

$9.1.0.429
@Windows XP Service Pack 2 (2600) BT_OTHER 9296.247

the 2 computers are from the same company I work in.
the previous 8530w also but it worked.
I really would like to use this spacepilot again with Catia, I can not imagine to go back with a single mouse.

I could get info about 5009 error here :
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/ ... 1900775C5C

however, the problem on my x64 machine was in folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\InstallShield

(not in C:\Program Files\Common File where InstallShield folder did not exist)

I deleted folder "Professional" and rerun the install and it worked.

Thank you Eric !
You're welcome Eric.
