Navigation for other Tools

Hello,

First I am a user of 3dsmax. I use the Space Navigator Personal at home since yesterday. I really love it. I would ask my Boss, to by some for work. :lol:

Every Time i am in other Software (Opera, Notepad, Skype, Quicktime, OpenOffice,... ) i want to youse the navigator. But most there is no driver support. Ideas for the Driver:

1. Why is the Navigator not an 4DMouse Weehl in ohter Applications?

2. The Driver must recognizes Software without plugin.

3. I love the ButtonKonfiguration. Why not custum link the Wheel with the Functions?

For example:
Software Quicktimplayer
RollRight -> ArrowRigh
RollLeft -> ArrowLeft
...
so i have an simple Timeline navigation without specifically Plugin.

Naturally there can´t be accleration. But the User can customize the Navigator for ALL Software.

Hi blenderman,

the 3D navigation tools are designed to work in parallel with a mouse.

The driver identifies automatically the running applications, generally the plug-ins are intended for the button-mappings only.
