Windows 7 and NX button mappings

Post by dan_young »

I am curious if anyone has had any luck with the button mappings for NX?

I have mostly been testing NX6 64bit on Windows 7 64bit with a space pilot, and the zoom, pan, etc works.
However I cant seem to get certian buttonmappings to work. Ones that I have verifed work with the latest software (3.13.1) work fine in win XP 64 bit, but not win7.

It was suggested I try older drivers, and I have tried the 3 latest I could get ahold of: 3.13.1, 3.12.3 and 3.8.2 and have even tested out the beta 10 software.

So far, I cant seem to get any NX commands to go through.
My test case (for simplicity) is the orient buttons T, L, R and F.
Using Orient View-Top, Left, Right and Front do nothing, But if you set them to Delete Key or something, it sends that command just fine.

So the buttons can be mapped and appear to work on some commands, but not others. (I'm thinking NX specific commands?)

And of course, the environment variable from the buttonmapping FAQ have been set, as well as the permissions correct.

Any other ideas would be helpful!
